LEADING THROUGH CHANGE – AN OVERVIEW  

Leading Through Change is a programme across all levels, adapted for new, middle and senior leaders, as well as complete working teams within the organisation. 
 
The programme is designed to be run ‘off-site’ over two consecutive days, with a total of between 12 and 15 participants only, for maximum effectiveness. 
 
Pre and post programme activities are completed at your work location. 
 
Leading Through Change has been developed over many years, in conjunction with a large variety of organisations in the UK, Europe and the USA. It is a proven solution to improving team leadership effectiveness. 
 
Objectives 
Facilitate leaders and teams to cope more effectively with change by: 
Generating constructive and motivational ‘two-way communication’ 
Encouraging teams to excel using the ‘power of the team’ 
Applying leadership skills to successfully ‘anticipate the unexpected’. 
 
The overall approach is practice-based, enabling participants to grow their own natural abilities, by taking leadership roles in practical projects with colleagues, under unusual but controlled circumstances. 
Every business is different so timescales and outcomes will vary, but all programmes include behaviour, communicating and leadership, whilst giving/ receiving feedback is practiced ‘live’ at the end of each project. 
 
Subgroups work together through the two days, encouraging a competitive element, with central sessions on key subjects to connect the principles with the current reality within the business. 
 
40-minute one-to-one pre-meets are invaluable in setting up participant expectations. 
 
Individual or team mentoring follow-ups then convert learning back into the workplace.

Every support function specialist within an organisation has the authority and training to do their job and is trusted to represent the business in their dedicated area. 
 
Whether the organisation or individual realises it, their job is to ‘persuade’ people of the merits of their function, with other employees and also with customers - and thus, by definition, they are in fact ‘leaders’ in their specialist field.
